Historien om Sneakerzone - Sneakerzone

Sneakerzone has started and subsequently scaled up the company in just one year. Behind the success are two young brothers from Odense, who are both now going all-in to pursue their entrepreneurial dream.

In this post you will get the story of the creation of Sneakerzone, told by the two founders, Dan and Nam Dinh.

"Our parents' living room is filled with shoe boxes. Every inch of the room is used for storage."

This is what the engine room looks like here at Sneakerzone, which the two brothers, Dan and Nam Dinh, have created together. Sneakerzone sells rare and exclusive sneakers such as Yeezy, New Balance, including the ultra-popular New Balance 550 , Jordan 1 , Nike Dunk and more.

“Since the start, we have sent well over 2,000 sneakers to Danish sneaker enthusiasts. Especially in connection with Black Friday in 2021, we experienced great interest,” says Nam, the youngest of the two brothers, and continues:

“Our business has really taken off, and the goal for 2022 is to double sales. In the months of January-April 2022, we have already sold four times as many sneakers as in the same period last year - which is pretty crazy, we think.”

The idea arose at school during COVID-19

The brothers have always had a passion for sneakers. Before Sneakerzone was established, the brothers traded sneakers privately. By keeping an eye on official retailers of rare shoes, extraordinary sneakers were purchased and then resold to other “sneakerheads”.

Like so many other high school students, Nam's life was turned upside down when the coronavirus shut down Danish society. As a result, he now had to follow his lessons from home - but the focus was on sneakers, not homework, Nam says:

"I have to admit that not much was done in terms of school and homework while I was home during corona. Most of the time was spent behind a screen - and that's where I had the opportunity to explore our sneaker project."

"At the same time, I used the SU to invest in newer and cooler products for the range, which has clearly been a driving factor behind the success we are currently experiencing," explains the 18-year-old entrepreneur, who graduated from high school in the summer of 2022.

From storage in the parents' living room to real storage and payment of wages

"2022 will be the year when we can hopefully finally get out of our parents' living room and find ourselves a proper warehouse to store our products. At the same time, we also hope to be able to pay ourselves a little salary, now that we can't draw on the SU. Up until now, we have invested everything directly into further developing the business."

"But we are two entrepreneurial souls, and money in the form of salary is therefore not as important as seeing our business take off and having a lot of happy customers. We have many plans on the drawing board, and with a lot of hard work I am sure that we will achieve many of our goals this year", says Dan.
